The first ad network offering asynchronous, non-blocking JavaScript ad code

BOSTON, MA – Feb. 10, 2010 – BuySellAds.com, a company that helps online advertisers and website publishers buy and sell ads better, announced today that it has released asynchronous, non-blocking ad code.

In geek-speak, asynchronous is a heavenly term. Nearly all advertisements on a website are served using JavaScript from a third party ad network provider. When any browser downloads the ad code that displays the ads, it blocks everything else on the page from rendering. And, while this process may take less than a second of the user’s time, it is noticeable and it is a big problem.

Remember the day Michael Jackson passed away? Several news websites were crushed by the traffic and crashed. It wasn’t because the news websites could not handle the traffic; it was the ad networks blocking ad code that slowed things down.

If the major ad networks like Google AdSense, Yahoo! Network, AOL Advertising, and also the popular ad serving products such as Google AdManager and OpenX converted their ad code to be non-blocking, the internet as a whole would become an order of magnitude faster.

“This update is so important not just because our websites will load faster, but because it sets a new industry standard. Effective today, the new BuySellAds.com asynchronous, non-blocking JavaScript ad code will be the default option when publishers install their ad code. Legacy versions of the BuySellAds.com ad code will still be supported, but the company is committed to aggressively working to convert 100% of its thousands of websites to the new ad code.

BuySellAds.com Launches Premium and Pay Per Click Advertising Programs

BOSTON, MA. (December 3, 2009) – BuySellAds.com Inc. (www.BuySellAds.com) today announced the launch of two new advertising programs: Premium and Pay Per Click.  Both programs are in beta and have been rolled out to a select number of publisher websites at this time.  These two programs will enhance BuySellAds.com’s existing offering for both advertisers and publishers by allowing advertisers access to additional inventory and publishers access to new ways to make money.

The launch of the Premium offering is also BuySellAds.com’s first step toward providing targeting options for advertisers.  Advertisers are able to make an ad buy across specific channels, geographic regions, and also target users down to the operating system (Mac OS specifically).

“The need for a Premium side to the network is apparent to both advertisers and publishers,” said Todd Garland, Founder and CEO of BuySellAds.com.  “It enables us to provide a higher end service for both parties – helping advertisers get better results through premium placement and helping publishers properly monetize those premium locations on their site.”

The Pay Per Click offering is a natural move as BuySellAds.com continues to grow.  It allows them to provide a highly targeted Pay Per Click offering for its advertisers and a higher quality Pay Per Click ad unit for its publishers.  Advertisers will have the ability to target their ads toward specific channels and websites vs. through keyword matching.

“I’m tired of seeing Google AdSense everywhere,” said Garland.  “However, the reality is that these Pay Per Click units do very well for publishers – we have spiced it up a bit, added a 64×64 icon as a brandable element and just made the unit look better.  So far, we’re seeing great results.”

Until now, BuySellAds.com has only sold display ads at fixed 30-day rates.  These new initiatives expand their offering and enable them to secure more ad inventory with publishers.
